Current Coaches

2019 Coaches:

U15 Head Coach Teddy Secor:

I've lived in St. Mary's county my whole life. I went to The Calverton School where I graduated in 2012 and St. Mary's college where I graduated in 2016. In high school I was first team all league all four years as a face off middie. My senior year we were 17-2 and finished as the number 24 high school team in the country. Out of the 30 men on that team, 25 played college lacrosse. My goal as well as the goal of the other U15 coaches is to position the players to be able to compete at a high level at the high school level or as far as they want to take their lacrosse careers. I'm so happy to have two assistant coaches who know a lot about the game and are as enthusiastic about coaching as I am.

U15 Assistant Coach Caleb Jardeleza:

I've lived in Southern Maryland for the last 6 years. I first came to St. Mary's County to attend Saint Maryâ??s College in 2012 and walked on the lacrosse team. I was a faceoff midfielder and played defensive midfield. We played some of the top teams in the country and had an opportunity to play in the NCAA DIII tournament. After graduating I then went on to be an assistant coach for the SMCM lacrosse team and specialized in training the face off midfielders.   Iâ??m looking forward to taking what Iâ??ve learned in my years playing and coaching and applying it to a younger group of players. My goal is to help each player realize their potential and motivate them to play at the highest level possible

U11 Head Coach â?? Joe Wood:

I've was born and raised in southern Maryland and started playing lacrosse when I was in 6th grade.  I played until my junior year of high school at Chopticon. The 2015 varsity lacrosse team I played on had the best record of any team to play at Chopticon going 11-2. Ever since that year I've been stuck on lacrosse. Shortly after graduation I went straight into the Local 26 and have missed the sport. When I heard of an opening for the the Mechanicsville braves I jumped on the opportunity since that was the first team I ever played for. I'm excited to pass on what I've learned about the evolution of the game to the up and coming players.

U11 Assistant Coach â?? Anthony Sampson:

I am the oldest out of 7 kids, sports have always been a big thing for us. I have been playing sports since I was 4 years old, baseball, soccer, lacrosse and even action sports.  I've played lacrosse from 5th-12th grade. I enjoy the sport a lot and looking forward to being a coach for the first time.
